San Marino bids to host Junior Eurovision 2026!

The latest news from San Marino reveals their big plans for the future. San Marino’s national broadcaster, SMRTV, has announced that San Marino intends to bid to host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

This ambitious decision is linked to a three-year agreement between the Secretariat of State for Tourism and Information, SMRTV, and the production company Media Evolution, concerning the organization of the „San Marino Song Contest,“ the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Ersin Palak, the head of the Sammarinese delegation, commented on this decision with the following words:

„Every year the [contest] is hosted by a different country in Europe, and San Marino is hungry for a win and ready to organize the next edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in its homeland. From large theaters to sports facilities, San Marino offers a wide range of possibilities for organizing this type of event.

We are keeping our fingers crossed and wishing good luck to our Martina Crv, who will represent San Marino at Junior Eurovision 2025. We wish a wonderful adventure to all the children and collaborators who will take part in the event in Tbilisi. May music and friendship prevail.“

Although SMRTV’s statement did not explicitly confirm participation in next year’s Junior Eurovision, given these bold plans, it is almost certain that San Marino will continue to compete.

San Marino will be represented at this year’s Junior Eurovision in Tbilisi by the young singer Martina Crv with a song titled „Beyond the Stars,“ which will be released at a later date.
