Serbia’s representative for Eurovision 2025, Princ, has released the official music video for his song „Mila“, with which he will aim to secure a spot in the grand final of this prestigious competition.
This emotional ballad, written by Dušan Bačić, has undergone a revamp that introduced several changes to the arrangement – new instruments and choral backing vocals were added, the instrumental break was shortened, and the final chorus was extended.
The musical evolution of „Mila“ – A new energy for Eurovision
The new arrangement of „Mila“ brings a refreshed sound that blends the emotion of the original version with modern musical elements. The goal is to modernize the song and make it more appealing to a wider audience, particularly in response to Eurovision fans’ critiques that the original version sounded somewhat outdated. With the addition of new instruments, the song has gained more depth, while the shortened instrumental break contributes to a more dynamic pace.
The extended final chorus enhances the song’s energy, which could lead to a more impactful stage performance. However, the visual segment has not undergone any changes – the music video was filmed on the stage of the national selection without additional production investments, which has sparked mixed reactions.
The song’s composer, Dušan Bačić, commented on the new version for our portal:
„In the new version, we wanted to place additional focus on Stefan’s voice and performance, so we added another chorus to give him more space to shine.
Since the song’s length is limited to three minutes, we had to remove a few bars from the second verse. I believe we now have a version that will resonate even better on the Eurovision stage, especially in a live performance.“

What are Serbia’s chances at Eurovision?
Serbia will perform in the second half of the second semi-final on May 15 in Basel, competing for a place in the grand final. While betting odds do not currently place Serbia among the top favorites, Princ and his team are working hard to ensure a memorable performance.
It is well known that a strong stage presentation can significantly impact a song’s success. Given Princ’s distinctive vocals and charisma, Serbia certainly has assets that could pleasantly surprise the audience. Eurovision is famous for its unpredictable results, and many past favorites have been overshadowed by performances that won over viewers with unexpected emotion and energy.
Additionally, Serbia’s team is putting effort into promoting the song and expanding its reach among fans across Europe. More details about the stage concept are expected in the coming weeks, and this could be a crucial factor in Princ’s Eurovision journey.
The audience and jury will decide whether Mila can find its way into Europe’s heart, and the upcoming rehearsals and performances will provide the final picture of Serbia’s chances at Eurovision 2025.
All eyes will be on Princ’s performance, and Serbia hopes for yet another unforgettable moment on the grand Eurovision stage.
