The Eurovision season might be over, but for true fans – it never really ends!
While the first songs for 2026 are just starting to be announced, Eurovision enthusiasts from around the world, united through the OGAE fan club network, are gearing up for one of their favorite events – OGAE Song Contest 2025.
And this year, OGAE Serbia is coming back stronger and more determined than ever to find a song that will showcase the best of the Serbian music scene – and maybe, for the very first time, bring victory to our country at this prestigious contest.
What is the OGAE Song Contest?
The OGAE Song Contest is the oldest and most prestigious fan-organized competition held by national clubs within the OGAE (Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l’Eurovision) network. It was founded back in 1986, with the aim of highlighting the best non-Eurovision songs from each country, released within the previous two years.
The contest brings together fans from across the globe — Europe, Australia, Asia, and even the Americas — who vote for songs nominated by their respective national clubs. The rule is simple: the song must be in one of the official languages of the country, and must not have been involved with the Eurovision Song Contest, Junior Eurovision, Eurovision Young Musicians, or national selection shows.
Serbia’s Selection for OGAE Song Contest 2025
After competing last year with “Dam, dam, dam” by Aleksandra Prijović (which finished in 15th place), Serbia is returning this July with a thoroughly organized and exciting national selection.
A total of 48 songs, carefully chosen for their relevance, popularity, originality, and Eurovision appeal, are divided into four semi-finals. The lineup includes major stars, viral hits, hidden gems, and a few surprising entries from the alternative scene.
Among the artists competing are: Lepa Brena, Tea Tairović, Jelena Tomašević, Emina Jahović, Zorja, Nucci, Sanja Vučić, Marija Šerifović, Nikolija, Dara Bubamara, and many more.
The selection process follows a format similar to previous years, with a few new elements. Each of the four semi-finals features 12 songs, and the top 4 from each will advance to the final based on combined votes.
The voting will be split across three groups:
- 50% – Members of OGAE Serbia
- 25% – Followers of our Instagram page @ogaeserbia
- 25% – Members of the Evropesma Forum
After the final, the top three songs will proceed to the Super Final, where only OGAE Serbia members will vote to determine who will represent the club at OGAE Song Contest 2025.

OGAE Serbia has participated in the OGAE Song Contest 25 times, consistently since 1999, when the country debuted with the song „Sve ili ništa“ by Svetlana Ceca Slavković. That year remains Serbia’s best result to date – 3rd place out of 24 countries.
Over the years, Serbia has been represented by many of its most famous artists, including Goca Tržan, Jelena Tomašević, Željko Joksimović, Milan Stanković, Aleksandra Prijović, and others.
Although the elusive victory still awaits, Serbia has achieved several top 10 placements:
- 1999 – Ceca Slavković – „Sve ili ništa“ – 3rd place
- 2008 – Seka Aleksić – „Aspirin“ – 9th place
- 2009 – Jelena Tomašević – „Okeani“ – 7th place
- 2013 – Emina Jahović – „I da mogu“ – 9th place
- 2014 – Željko Joksimović – „Ludak kao ja“ – 8th place
- 2015 – Jelena Tomašević – „Ime moje“ – 9th place
Even though we are still waiting for our first win, it is clear that OGAE Serbia consistently delivers high-quality entries and leaves a strong impression on the fan community.
