As we eagerly await the grand spectacle in May, it’s time to reveal the Serbian votes for the traditional OGAE Poll 2025!
Before we unveil which entries our fans awarded their highest points to, let’s briefly explain what the OGAE network is and why this poll holds a special place among Eurovision enthusiasts.
What is OGAE International?
OGAE International (Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l’Eurovision) was founded back in 1984 in Finland, with the idea of bringing together Eurovision Song Contest fans, encouraging networking, and promoting the contest, its songs, and its artists.
Today, OGAE International unites more than 40 national clubs across Europe (and beyond), with members organizing various activities — from gatherings and quizzes to supporting national selections and Eurovision itself.
The network serves as the official fan community and contributes annually through various initiatives, including the famous OGAE Poll.
OGAE Serbia – giving a voice to our country in the Eurovision world
OGAE Serbia is the official Serbian branch of the international OGAE network.
The club brings together passionate Eurovision fans from all over Serbia, with the shared goal of promoting the love for Eurovision, supporting Serbian artists, and strengthening ties with fans from other countries.
Members of OGAE Serbia actively participate in information sharing, organize fan meetups, and have been a part of the annual OGAE Poll tradition for many years.
It’s important to highlight that the votes cast by OGAE Serbia reflect the collective choice of its members, offering a glimpse into the preferences of the wider Serbian Eurovision community.
What is the OGAE Poll and why is it important?
The OGAE Poll is an annual voting event organized by all national OGAE clubs, held a few weeks before the Eurovision Song Contest.
Each club awards points using the standard Eurovision format (1-8, 10, and 12 points), and the cumulative results often serve as an early prediction of the year’s favorites.
Interestingly, the OGAE Poll has often correctly anticipated the actual Eurovision winners. For example, OGAE fans recognized Loreen’s magic with „Euphoria“ back in 2012 before she conquered Europe. A similar case happened with Måneskin in 2021, and once again with Loreen in 2023 and her song „Tattoo.“
Of course, there have also been surprises — like in 2011, when fans favored Hungary, who eventually finished only 22nd in the Grand Final, while Azerbaijan took the crown.
When it comes to Serbia’s performance in the OGAE Poll, our country has achieved notable success on three occasions:
- 2007, when Marija Šerifović with „Molitva“ won the OGAE Poll and later triumphed at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki.
- 2008, when Jelena Tomašević and her song „Oro“ placed third in the OGAE Poll and finished sixth in the Eurovision Grand Final.
- 2012, when Željko Joksimović with „Nije ljubav stvar“ finished fourth in the OGAE Poll and third in the Grand Final held in Baku.
These results show that OGAE members often recognize the quality of Serbian representatives — and in the case of Marija Šerifović, they even accurately predicted a historic victory.
This year as well, OGAE Serbia has cast its votes. A total of 28 OGAE Serbia members took part in the voting, and we are proud to present Serbia’s points for the OGAE Poll 2025, showcasing which entries our fans see as potential winners!
Along with our top points, we are also presenting the full table of OGAE Serbia’s votes for the OGAE Poll 2025.
Our members carefully evaluated all this year’s songs, and the collective ranking offers a clear picture of who Serbian fans view as the main favorites.
Unfortunately, songs from our neighboring countries did not fare particularly well according to OGAE Serbia members.
Slovenia’s entry received only 9 points, finishing 32nd on the table. Croatia’s representative performed slightly better, collecting 12 points and securing 30th place. Montenegro’s entry achieved the best result among the ex-Yugoslav countries, finishing 27th with 14 points.
On the brighter side, Greece’s representative achieved an excellent result — securing third place with 122 points, while Albania’s entry finished fifth with 97 points.
