Turin hosted the 39th edition of the OGAE Song Contest, a competition that brings together the best non-Eurovision songs from across Europe and beyond. The victory stayed in Italy, but OGAE Serbia has reason to be satisfied, while the region achieved notable success with OGAE Croatia entering the top ranks of the scoreboard!
After OGAE Italy celebrated last year with Annalisa’s song „Euforia“, the host of this year’s competition, held in Turin, took the trophy once again!
This time, the convincing triumph with 279 points was achieved by Damiano David (the former vocalist of the winning band Måneskin) with his song „Born With a Broken Heart“. Damiano thus crowned the Italian domination, securing their second consecutive victory.
OGAE Finland, represented by BESS & Käärijä with the song „Kaistaa“, took second place with 179 points, while the Top 3 was rounded out by OGAE Australia, represented by pop icon Kylie Minogue with the track „Lights Camera Action“ scoring 143 points.
Winner of OGAE Song Contest 2025
A total of 29 OGAE clubs participated in the 2025 competition, a significant increase from the previous year. This confirms the growing importance of this contest within the Eurovision fan community.
Among the clubs that joined the competition this year, either as debutants or returnees, were OGAE clubs from Albania, Ireland, Ukraine, Romania, Estonia, and Lithuania, while the only absence was the representative from OGAE Bulgaria.
As every year, representatives from the former Yugoslav republics attracted special attention. In addition to OGAE Serbia, OGAE clubs from Slovenia, North Macedonia, and Croatia also participated in the OGAE Song Contest 2025.
The biggest regional success was achieved by OGAE Croatia, whose representative Baby Lasagna with the song „Biggie Boom Boom“ scored a fantastic 4th place with 140 points.
Other participants from the region included: Arilena Ara for OGAE Albania with the song „Weightless,“ finishing in 15th place with 31 points; Raiven for OGAE Slovenia with the song „Hedonista,“ taking 23rd place with 11 points; and Lozano for OGAE North Macedonia with the song „Barijera“ – 28th place with only 2 points, one of which was received from Serbia.
OGAE Srbija – Milica Pavlović secured the left side of the scoreboard
OGAE Serbia was represented this year by the popular Milica Pavlović with the hit „Ona nosi Pradu“ (She Wears Prada). In a very strong field of 29 countries, Milica finished the competition in a solid 14th place with 44 points.
This is OGAE Serbia’s best result in the last ten years, since the 2015 competition!
For Eurovision fans in Serbia, it is interesting to note that OGAE Serbia selects its representative for the OGAE Song Contest at an internal competition traditionally held between late June and mid-July. You can view the results of this year’s internal competition HERE.

What is the OGAE Song Contest?
The OGAE Song Contest is a prestigious annual music competition that brings together Eurovision fan clubs (OGAE – Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l’Eurovision) from around the world. Although directly connected to the Eurovision community, its essence lies in promoting each country’s current domestic music production, entirely separate from the Eurovision Song Contest.
The basic rule dictates that the competing songs must not be connected to the Eurovision Song Contest in any way. This means they:
- Have not participated in a National Final for the Eurovision Song Contest.
- Have not been performed at the Eurovision Song Contest or the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Members of each national OGAE club independently select the song that will represent their country through internal nominations and voting. This contest serves as an excellent indicator of current European musical trends and the popular style at a given time. Additional rules stipulate that the song must have been released in the current or previous calendar year and must be shorter than 5 minutes.
Just like in Eurovision, the winning country earns the right to host and organize the next edition. The host and organizer of this year’s, 2025, OGAE Song Contest is OGAE Italy, following their victory in 2024. The winner of last year’s edition was the popular Annalisa with the song „Euforia.“
In the previous OGAE Song Contest edition in 2024, OGAE Serbia was represented by the song „Dam Dam Dam“ performed by one of our most popular singers, Aleksandra Prijović. Although much was expected of our representative, given that her song was a regional mega-hit, OGAE Serbia finished in the middle of the scoreboard, securing 15th position with 34 points.
