The Embassy of Austria in Belgrade today hosted a reception for Serbia’s representatives at this year’s on Eurovision Song Contest 2026 – the group Lavina – ahead of their participation in the contest, which will take place in May in Vienna. The event brought together members of the delegation, media representatives, as well as the fan community, including representatives of OGAE Serbia.
The host of the reception was Kristijan Ebner, who warmly welcomed the Serbian team and members of our club, delivering a strong message of support ahead of their Eurovision journey. He emphasized that Eurovision goes beyond music and represents a moment when millions of people across Europe share the same emotion and message.
“From the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the best at the competition. Do not hold back, let your energy grow and let Europe feel what we already know – that ‘Lavina’ is not just a band, but a force of nature,” Ambassador Ebner said, referring to the name and energy of the group.
The band’s frontman, Luka Aranđelović, stated that preparations for the performance are in full swing, but that the team is heading to Vienna with a relaxed mindset and full focus on delivering the best possible show.
“We are glad to be here and feel privileged. There is no huge pressure, but there is responsibility. We are going there to give our maximum and we hope for the best,” Aranđelović said.
During the reception, Ambassador Kristijan Ebner presented the Serbian delegation with gifts and promotional materials related to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 2026, as a gesture of welcome and support ahead of their participation in Vienna.
With clear support from all sides – the embassy, the national broadcaster, and the fan community – Lavina heads to Vienna with strong backing and expectations that their song “Kraj mene” will leave a distinctive mark on the European stage.
A special highlight of the event was the presence of members of OGAE Serbia, who had the honour of attending the reception and supporting the Serbian representatives ahead of the competition.
